Bramhakund

Alibag is a city gifted by nature at a distance of 110 km from Mumbai. At a distance of 10-12 Km from Alibag, in a hilly area, there is a hill known as “Kankeshwar” temple.

Located at a height of at least 1200-1300 feet above the temple. this tank is known as “Bramhakund”. Mumbai or a lot of other people go here mainly in the rainy season to visit and see god. During the monsoons, this “Bramhakund” is full of water and because of the mountain terrain the clouds descend on the mountains. In the morning, the cold water of “Brahmakund” and the surrounding fog give the feeling of being in heaven. Whenever I feel the need to meditation, I go to this place.

To get here you can take a private vehicle from Alibag to this place. Or if you are using public transport you will come to the village of Chondhi and from there take a private auto and leave at the foot of the hill.

You can also come from Mumbai – Gateway to Mandwa for Next 6-7 months after the end of monsoon.

The name of the village where you want to start climbing the hill is Mapgoan. You do not need any tools to climb this mountain, because this mountain is made of stone steps

Whenever you get a chance to visit Alibag, be sure to visit “Kankeshwar” and its surroundings.
